Founding director Lou Ann Shafer earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music Education from Oberlin College Conservatory in Ohio. She teaches piano and voice at the Ivory League Studio. She has worked in public school, private school, and church settings with choirs of all ages for the past 19 years and has served as Guest Conductor for the Dauphin County Elementary Chorus and PMEA District 4 Elementary Songfest. She is a composer of music for the church, with works published by Shawnee Press, Lorenz and the United Methodist Publishing House. She also serves as editor for the new Psalter-Hymnal project of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
